Baptism, Fish Market, Transfers, Headache!

Elmore Paris' Baptism was today! Family and Branch members...

Elder Bird and Brother Paris

The Paris Family

Ocean baptisms are definitely amazing!

Fish market at Biabou...

Boats used to fish during the day. Motors removed to avoid theft. The sea is always very rough on the Windward side of the Island. The fishermen are skilled seafarers. We bought 4 lbs. of Barracuda. It is delicious!

Reonique Forbes is the young lady who said she wanted President Monson to lower the missionary age for sisters to 19.... and she received her wish two weeks later when President Monson announced it in October Conference! She is serving with Sister Fish until her new companion arrives next week. Neat young women. Her own mission papers are almost completed!

YSA missionary prep activity. The gospel is truly amazing!

Birthday Party and Farewell Luncheon the day before transfers. We lost three of these great missionaries and gained three more!

We see people with loads on their heads quite often. Kathy is probably going to try it...you know how she has to try most everything. I told her I was too heavy for her tiny neck!

Relief Society Work Meeting. Sister Small, Sister Paris, Sister Jackson, Sister Wiley

Chantel and Ronique...Ronique is completing her mission papers!

Jockey with Elder Bird. Elder Bird is on the left.

Sister Fish, Sister Bird and Sister Butler. Sister Butler was the first Caucasian sister missionary in the West Indies Mission. She is going home next Wednesday. Sister Fish was the first Caucasian sister missionary on the island of Grenada. They love their mission and the people and the people really love them.

We don't ever have to worry about being transferred to new companions like the young sisters and elders! That was a great relief to us when we first got here !   :)

Our 2 sister and 6 elders on a bamboo bridge on the path to Dark View Falls

Dark View Falls and Bright View Smiles

Whoops! The sisters ran out of gas. 45 minutes and $75 EC later, we were on our way home again.

Sister Cato and Sister Bird

Keisha and Nadine with their children at the wedding.

In Trinidad for Senior Couple's Conference. Tour boat to bird sanctuary.

Snake coiled up in a tree...a yellow boa constrictor.

Hundreds of Scarlet Ibises. They are the most brilliant red birds. The trees looked like they were decorated with Poinsettias.

Fisherman at Indian Bay showing us the fish in his bucket.

Results of playing "Wink, Wink, Murder! YSA New Year's Party. Served pancake breakfast at Midnight.

Down hill barrel rolling! All they wanted for Christmas was an empty barrel.
The barrels come in on the ships at Christmas full of presents from relatives in the US.

End of the ride! He got bounced around pretty good!  :)

View while we were waiting for fishermen to come in with the "catch for the day".

Still waiting for the boats. Men behind are repairing nets.

1st boat!

We bought 10 lbs of King Fish and Blem. You buy the fish from the fishermen and then you pay another man to clean and filet the fish and then you pay another man for a plastic sack to take the fish home in. The wonderful fresh fish costs about$3.50 a pound US currency.
